After a decade on the road touring with the internationally acclaimed Dallas Brass, master trumpeter Brian Neal returns to Miami to teach, perform, compose and enjoy the community that nurtured and supported his talent from the start. Known for the golden tone of his trumpet, Neal has shared the stage with members of the Chicago Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Utah Symphony--and the list goes on.
Now his hometown will get to enjoy his prodigious talent at “Building Up to Bach,” for the Miami Bach Society’s Tropical Baroque Music Festival. The event will feature Neal’s newly formed group, The Miami Brass, which will showcase music from the Middle Ages, Renaissance and the Baroque period, culminating with J. S. Bach. . “I’m really happy with the locale,” says Neal. “It calls to mind the King’s Court setting where Bach’s orchestras performed.”
Tickets for the performance are $40.00 General Admission, $50.00 or Preferred seating. Students up to the age of 18 are admitted free of charge. College and graduate students pay $5.00.
